The Vital Role of Focus Visual Indicators
Focus states are the indicators you see around a button, link, or form field when you activate it with the Tab key richroyal.app. If you use a mouse, this may not seem important. You just click where you want. But for someone using a keyboard or a screen reader, these indicators are a lifeline. They give a clear, unmistakable signal of where you are on the page. Without a strong, visible focus state, keyboard navigation feels like moving in the dark. You don’t know what’s selected or where you’ll go next. That’s a annoying and exclusionary experience. At Rich Royal Casino, we design these states to be apparent. They use high contrast and are distinct, so navigation stays straightforward and predictable. Our team avoids subtle color changes that color-blind users might miss. Instead, we use bold outlines, offset shadows, and background shifts that meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards for contrast. This works across all our site themes.
