Loss Restrictions & Wagering Limits: The Overlooked Protectors
Deposit restrictions get most of the talk, but I found the real power of loss and wagering limits. A loss limit acts like a circuit breaker. If your net losses (what you put in minus what you take out) hit a particular level in a day, week, or month, your ability to place more bets is briefly halted. This was a revelation. It safeguards you during a bad run when your decision-making might be off. A wagering limit limits the total amount you can bet in a period. I set a moderate daily wagering limit and found it encouraged me towards smarter bet sizing. I couldn’t just ramp up my bets to try and recover; I had to play through my designated budget thoughtfully. These tools work quietly in the background, providing a safety net so you can focus entirely on the game.
