During the Shutdown: Login Efforts and Alerts
Right at the announced start time, our next login failed. Instead of the typical lobby, we encountered a branded maintenance page. It employed Neon54’s familiar neon colors and had a polite message apologizing for the trouble. The page repeated the expected finish time and mentioned the team was hard at work. We did not observe a live countdown clock. We attempted to get back in every fifteen minutes from our different test locations. Each time, the same branded page was displayed. A full, consistent shutdown is better than a spotty one where some parts work and others don’t, which can confuse players and compromise data.
